Was in the District for business and decided to try Camelot's. First time there. If you are not familiar with DC clubs, most clubs cannot serve private lap dances (there seems to be some exceptions, Cloakroom for example has private contact dance areas). Camelot falls into the category of being basically a showgirl bar/restaurant.

Paragraph 1: Club Vibe.

This building is long and narrow, like a lot of the crammed DC buildings. The bar is at the end opposite of the entrance. The one stage is relatively in the middle. And both walls are lined with tables, chairs, and padded benches. There is also an upper level, but it was not open on the day I visited, so I did not get to see it. The layout and lighting were mistly fine, but I have one complaint. It can be very difficult to see the stage from many of the seats. Only a few seats have what I consider a decent view. The waitresses and dancers try to make up for this by sitting and chatting with you when they aren't working, which is nice, but I'd rather have a nice view of the nude dancer on stage. Music: there is a juke box that the girls queue their songs in before their set, which is pretty cool. Dancers definitely dance better to their preferred music. Bouncer was friendly and had a very obvious presence. He showed me a video of him putting a beat down on a belligerent customer from a week ago. Don't be belligerent, guys.
