Ventura County SC field trip pt. 1

Since I was staying in Santa Barbara for the night, I thought I would hit Spearmint Rhino SB when I got back near home base for the night and start with SR Oxnard. You can read my part 2 review under SR Santa Barbara

I arrived around 9:45 PM on a Thursday. It’s not too far from the freeway a couple blocks. Ample parking in SR’s Oxnard parking as well as on the street. It’s located in an industrial park area, so I can imagine it does good business from the blue collar workers leaving at 5 from their jobs for the day. A non-descript front that has a modest Spearmint Rhino sign above the door. As you walk in it has the matted SR walls with the scandly clad porno like stars from the 2000s photos. It’s a lobby of sorts that leads into the club. There is a rope before you step into the club. The doorman comes over, he seems to be doing double duty with the register for the lap dances. Pay my $20 entrance fee and get wanded in.

Once in the club, the stage is set up in the middle with a pole. Ceilings here are High, much more than SR Santa Barbara. It’s definitely to notice and you don’t feel as caulstrophobic in the club. The bar is immediately on the right side of the entrance. A pretty big guy is manning the bar. I ask for a water, think it was $6 and ask for $50 in ones. He happily accommodated me. Staff overall seems cool no problems.
