Best strip club in Kingston
As mentioned previously, there is no signage to indicate that the location is a strip club, much less Club Barbies. There were only a few gentlemen outside the door, and the faint sound of music that told me i was in the right place. Up the stairs, a lady sits at the landing to collect your $1,000 JMD cover charge. Inside is pretty small for a strip club, there is a long bar against the near wall with several stools, and several couches against the opposite wall. A very low rectangular stage sits in between the bar and the couches. The ladies are mostly short term visitors from a host of latin american countries like Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, etc. the rest are the obligatory local dancers.
The Latinas i spoke to had all had prior strip club experience in their home countries and it showed in their performances. They moved very sensuously and provocatively to the beat with the hips. Twerking is kept to a minimum.
Most patrons walked up to the stage and made it rain $1,000 in $100 (JMD) bills, for which the dancers would oblige by humping the patron doggy style. The performers would be on stage for about 15 to 20 minutes or about 5-7 songs before the change-up. In my opinion, this is too long if you don't like the current girl on stage.
Lap dances took place in the back room, which is basically a long corridor separated by plywood panels and curtains, with a single dining chair in each "booth". Before entering with a girl, you pay the mama-san $1,000 JMD per song. 50% goes to the dancer, the house keeps the other 50%.
The mama-san will occasionally come to the back room to tell the dancer how much time is left.
I liked this club more than i liked Taboo (which was very disappointing to me, see my other review). One thing i noticed about both strip clubs is that the dancers rarely take off their tops, and almost never their bottoms. When i asked about this, a few ladies told me they would take their tops off if paid, but otherwise, it's not required. I would definitely return to this club, the value, location, and quality of the girls cannot be beat.
