Unexpected detour
This was an unexpected trip to Club O this Sunday evening. My original goal was to visit another club in the area, but there was a lot of police activity and the street was blocked off when I drove past around 11:30. Since I was in the area I decided to check out Club O which was only about a 5 minute drive away. I was charged $20 to park (I think that is a bit steep for a Sunday night). Next, I went through three separate thorough pat downs outside by three different security staff of the club and a trip through a metal detector before being allowed to enter. I thought this was a bit excessive, but I guess it ensures that there won't be any weapons in the club. Once inside, I paid another $20 for the cover charge. There weren't any dancers out on the floor so I went to the main bar to order a drink ($14 for a cognac). After getting my drink, I was able to get one of the limited number of seats out on the main floor directly in front of the main stage. The majority of the seating in this club is reserved for bottle service which I'm not a fan of. The main stage is elevated about 5 feet off the ground, so you don't have great access to really enjoy/touch the girls when they are on stage. There is a second small satellite stage off to the other side of the club which went mainly unused.
There was a big crowd that came in off of a party bus and took up a lot of the reserved seating. They were smoking (weed & hookas which is allowed in this club) and dancing with each other like they were in a night club. The strippers finally started to come out of the dressing room around 12:30. I was not at all impressed with the talent level of the dancers this evening. I didn't really see any girl that caught my attention. I was approached by a couple of young skinny dancers who weren't my type and I politely declined their offers for dances/twerks out on the floor. Some of the other dancers came up and started to twerk in front of me without introducing themselves or seeing if I was interested. I'm not a fan of this at all, so I just ignored the ones who took this approach. The best looking girls by far were the bartenders and waitresses (a couple of them had really nice bodies), but unfortunately the don't get naked.
Another large party of younger kids came in and the place was super crowded at this point. There is a hype man who was up in the DJ booth on the mic encouraging the crowd to snap chat and go live on Instagram every five minutes which was annoying. One of the groups actually took over the main stage and were allowed to dance around on the stage with the strippers which I found kind of weird. I wasn't really feeling the vibe and since I didn't see any dancers who I was interested in spending any time with I decided to leave without really getting a chance to enjoy any of the dancers.
