Amazing first trip

Sorry in advance for the novel! First, thanks to all of the contributors - there's a ton of great information with a basic search and thanks Cristobal and others for the pointers from my other thread. Started out from Newport Beach after some meetings with the drive around 12:30 in the afternoon. Unfortunately, a big rig driver decided that he didn't want me getting to HK quickly and decided to dump his crane on the side of the road and block 2 lanes near Pendleton (https://fox5sandiego.com/2019/08/27/watch-live-big-rig-flips-in-major-north-county-wreck/).

Anyhow, finally got my day bag and got settled in my San Diego hotel by the airport and headed out to get condoms, lube, and cross the border around 3:30. I was already questioning my sanity at this point but went for it since I'd made a reservation at Cascadas and had to see what the fuss was all about. Set PedWest in Google maps and parked across the street at the big lot just to the right after you exit and across from PedWest. Cost me $9 for the overnight parking though apparently $18 on Thur-Sun. Walked across and failed here as I followed the signs and managed to hike my way over to PedEast instead of looking to the right and going straight to PedWest. Lesson learned. Don't turn left from the lot and instead head towards the circular drive by the shopping mall for PedWest.

Short customs line, filled out the form and passport stamped so on my way. Grabbed a cab right outside and a quick ride for $5 got me right to the door of HK. Since it was a Tuesday I went into HK first and bought VIP card (also got my coupons from the card guy). Then left and walked outside and hit Cascadas next door to check in. A couple $1 tips for more towels and an extra mop job on the floor and new sheets since there was still a soap bar from the last tenant and I was finally on my way into the fabled HK (now around 5 pm).
