This bar is notorious for ripping off customers and assaulting patrons. I have visited many times and know many of the regulars. Most have been regularly ripped off by waiters, managers and girls. Lately, less regulars are going since management refuses to fire the crooked employees.

About a month ago, I decided it was the last time to go. I saw a high roller regular who spends big bucks get ripped off by one of the waiters and when he confronted him, he was brutally attacked by the all the other waiters & bouncers while they tried to steal his wallet. They almost choked him to death outside the bar and the managers did nothing. Everyone in the bar saw the waiters and bouncers start the fight and try to rob the guy but this is the norm at the Hong Kong Bar. This is the biggest scam joint in Mexico. You may want to avoid all the bars owned by the same family since they condone such activity. I believe they own Tropical, La Tropa and Las Chavelas also. They have little respect for good customers.
