Good Talent, Poor Management / Horrible Bartendar
So after a long time away from Paterson I return to Baby Dolls hoping they returned it to the underground Brazilian scene as it was the night of my birthday and my other plans were cancelled. To my disappointment it wasn’t back to its former glory. To make matters worse the former Moonshine bartender is still playing the new manager there and she was at HER WORSE. At far as the venue, nothing has changed, so see any of the previous reviews including mine about the break down of the bar and disappointing bathroom ( which didn't have running water btw ). Now, back to the bartender... She is too pushy and drives customers away. She messes up the mood. There was about 4 girls there that were surprisingly 6/7s and up and had natural bodies ( for the most part there may have been one hiding in the corner / stuck to my brother that I wasn't paying any mind to ). So I guess that's what the bartender brings to the table ( the talent ), though may also be a result a the $80 lap dance spot around the corner being closed till September. The problem is... you can't interact with them without her getting involved. I was touring the Paterson scene with my brother, we sit down, order or drink minimum. There's about two blondes and the rest brunettes. I catch the love Jones for a short short hair ( “Betty Boop” style ) Dominican who looks mid 30s, but claimed that her 30th birthday was coming up. She doesn't speak ANY English at all so we are using Google translate. All the while the bartender keeps talking ( yelling ) to her in Spanish. I mean we are getting interrupted every 2 minutes, like back off.
The dance prices start at $10 for every 5 minutes. So $20 for 10 minutes. I thought this was odd, but I guess you can prepay for dancing in 5 minute intervals if you want to do odd numbers like 15 or 25 minutes, etc. At this point I am going to take her for a dance just to able to talk to her without interruption, and the bartender then yells at me... I mean yells "You have to buy her a DRINK!". Like okay okay calm down. I thought to myself, man she is a real nasty woman... meanwhile I am just trying to find out how nasty the dancer is. So we get a dance ( the larger booth to the front ), I am talking to her for the most part of it via translations and next thing you know the light is flickering signaling the end of the dance. She runs out to pay more time and I hear the lady yelling something at her in Spanish, I mean come on. We have another dance and she is very personable, without me even asking for anything. It ends quickly, as time and space tends to do anytime you are on a limit and things are just starting to pick up. I don't opt to another dance, as I look at my phone and my brother texted me "Two dances really?", being the lap dance police or something, can I LIVE it's my birthday. But it just goes to show that he wasn't having a good time. I told him about this site, so would be interesting if he actually decides to post a review from his perspective. One thing we could agree on that bartender / manager is a mood killer.
So you ask after all that ( no water in restroom, pushy manager, being lost in translation… ) would I be returning???... Hell yeah I'll be there next Friday! I need to try to Boop-Betty as there was something about her, and maybe if I have more time to get through the broken translations I can determine what she’s about.
