The Landing Strip is a Classic
My travels to Detroit and its finer places of entertainment have probably been equally divided between the LS, 747/FC, and the PC. The later was always a go to place that last 10 years (A decade of Debauchery). Sprinkle in a few trips to the Coli and the Playhouse (its former glory days), and some of the other places in Detroit and the past 40 years have been filled with such fun and occasional disappointment. I use the term disappointment loosely, but my fellow Michiganders know what I mean.
Making my way over from the Windy City on a hot August afternoon, and was thinking which club should I go to, the FC has been hit or miss the last few times, so I thought the LS is right off the freeway and should I strike out there, then the FC is the back-up. Knew that street parking had been curtailed, so just pulled in a gave my keys to the valet. Bounded up the stairs like a 40 year old, going to a strip club takes 20 years off your age. Strip Club years, kind of like dog years, but I digress. Through the doors and in to the darken pulsating room...always have high hopes when you walk in a strip club, at least I do. Made my way to the bar and it looked like about 10-18 patrons in the club. Two girls on stage.
Ordered an Ultra trying to loose a couple lbs, as that metabolism is waning. Had my LS clock going thinking that with three beers, I would probably see the entire line-up. The two on stage were typical 5-6, no great shakes...but I have 3 beers to go. Settled in and was approached by another few 5-6, however the bartender at the LS is super attractive, and I can not imagine that she dances, but if she did.....
