Tuesday Night in Melville

I visited Gossip for the second time a couple of weeks ago. My first one was brief, but I saw enough to decide that it warranted a return trip. I got there at 9pm and there was no cover which was great. Unfortunately there was no one on stage and only a couple of other customers, but I decided to settle in with a drink at the bar and give it some time.

The bar is small but nice, set off to the right of the stage with about 8-10 stools. Drinks were fairly expensive, even by SC standards. I got a domestic bottle of beer for around $10 after tip. I definitely recommend having a few drinks before going and then nurse a couple while here.

Girls eventually went on stage, but the performances were inconsistent. Only a few got on stage at all, and there were several lulls between sets. Of the few that danced, only one actually took her top off; the others simply danced/gyrated on stage in their outfits. I made a point to go up and tip, but it didn’t seem to help the lackluster performances.
