I'm not counting down the days until I can revisit Treasures but I'll definitely return.

It’s been years since I’ve been to Treasures. I used to visit in its heyday as a college friend lived within walking distance of the place. I didn’t truly experience it back then because I was young and broke. I never experienced the lean years and while this past visit was decent it wasn’t nearly as packed as I remembered it being 10 years or so ago.

I arrived around 10pm on a Friday night. I had eaten across the street and contemplated walking over to avoid the parking fee but thought better of it and drove across. The driveway was backed up with vehicles waiting to be valeted. I drove around and parked myself expecting to be approached at some point for payment. That never happened so I don’t know if self-park is now free or if I slipped through. When I left later on, I noticed there is a back entrance / exit to the lot.

Cover was $15 after passing through a metal detector and submitting to an ID check. As you walk in, there will be a small bar straight ahead. There were about 15 to 20 dancers just standing around in this area. I was to discover that the dancer to customer ratio was very much in my favor, at least at this point in the night. I was immediately accosted by a waitress / hostess who wanted to seat me. I remembered there was a bar farther in to the club and that’s where I wanted to start so I told her no thanks.
