I was in Indy over the 4th of July weekend; Brad's website mentioned that they were open on the 4th, so I went there that day and the next for a couple pretty lengthy visits during the afternoon/early evening.

Brad's is not in the nicest part of town, but it's not sketchy or anything. Mostly a residential area on a major street with some commercial properties scattered around. The parking lot is large and looks like it would be well-lit, but the sun was up the entire time I was there, so I don't know from experience. From the outside, the club is not super glitzy or garish - I had to keep my eyes open for the sign to recognize it. It helps that there's a random building in the middle of the parking lot like an old fotomat store, and that helps as a landmark. The inside isn't super glitzy either, but clean and comfortable. The main room is fairly large with a long stage down the center that has three poles on it, surrounded by small cocktail tables and leather-upholstered swivel chairs. On the far side from the entry is the bar, and a bit to the left is an alcove with more seating. Way down to the left as you enter is the dance area - regular dances take place is a sort of doughnut-shaped room; VIP is in a room to across the hall; super-VIP booths are mostly beyond the regular dance area, but it looked like there were a couple stashed in the regular VIP area as well. Further down the hall is an exit to the smoking patio, which is pretty large and has a bunch of tables and a TV; you can take a drink out there.

Dances come in three price ranges: $20/song dances that they'll have a special on once in a while; $100 VIP dances that take place in a large room where there will potentially be other clients and dancers; and $200 VIPs that take place in one of the smaller booths that have curtains. Both VIP options are 1/2 hour long. The single song area has a nice feature where there are little cubbies beneath the seats where you can stash stuff from your pockets to keep from poking the dancers. The large VIP room is basically a cushioned bench around the perimeter of the room with some tables and chairs around. Time is kept by the dancer watching the clock on the wall - no automated system or timer kept by the bouncer or house mom.
