sinclair's Review
I went to Stars Cabaret on a Thursday evening around 18:10. The strip club shares the same building as an adult gift store and has a very large parking lot. I was not assessed a cover charge, but the hostess scanned my driver's license in a small machine. The door girl made a point to inform me that there was no touching of dancers and no cell phones allowed near the stage.
Upon entering, the left side is the main area with three stages while to the right side has a hallway with five video slot machines and the washrooms. The bar is straight ahead, but mostly faces towards the left side of the room. A Sincweiser was $7. There were a number of craft beers on tap. The main stage is an octagon-shaped island with a spinning pole. There is a side stage in a back corner with a spinning pole, and there is an additional side stage in the adjacent back corner with an aerial hoop. Too much floor space was dedicated to reserved tables and VIP seating. There is a large outdoor smoking patio with a wood burning fireplace accessed through a door on the left wall. I would have liked to have relaxed more out there, but it was freezing and the fire pit wasn’t lit. The ATM has a maximum withdrawal of $500 and charges a $7.50 fee.
There were only three dancers working, but more ladies were scheduled to arrive later. Dancers did three song sets on stage, stripping down to nude by the third song. There is no contact between the dancers and customers during the performance, so you just end up tossing your dollars onto the stage. Keira was the type of stripper I am attracted to. Pepper was decent looking. Sage was not my type, but not ugly.
–Sinclair Dancer Sheet–
Keira: White, long brown hair, pale skin, fake D cups, no tattoos, sinclair prototype, 9.
Pepper: White, blonde hair, blue eyes, C cups, small tattoo on upper left arm, 7.
Sage: White, light brown hair, B cups, tattoos on the sides of both thighs, big tattoo covering pubic area, wears glasses, very short, looks to be in her thirties, 6.
Stars Cabaret is the only game in Bend, so it seems to think they can get away with gouging customers. Here are the prices that I was quoted for nude lap dances: One song was $60. Two songs was $120. Three songs was $150. A thirty minute VIP room was $450. A sixty minute VIP room was $750. I believe the club has set minimum prices that the dancers have to at least charge, but dancers are free to charge whatever they want. By-the-song lap dances take place in a communal room. There are three VIP rooms with more privacy. Dancers can touch customers, but customers cannot touch dancers during any of these options. When I turned down offers for private play time, dancers would try to sway me by telling me that I could take my shirt off during private dances. That didn’t seem like an added benefit considering how cold it was. I was tempted by Keira, who had me as erect as a Douglas fir, but I could not justify paying such absurd prices if I could not even explore her curves with my paws. I did not see a single customer buying private dances. Most guys just seemed to drink beer and tip the stage.
As I was waiting for my car to warm up, a middle-aged black woman with braids wearing a dress appeared in the parking lot by my vehicle. She was either homeless or a streetwalker. I am not sure if she came from the homeless shelter down the street or the Motel 6 across the street. Luckily, she walked off to bother someone else when I motioned to her that I was not interested.
Stars Cabaret is just flat out too strict with all of its rules. Stars Cabaret closes at 02:30, but they stop admitting customers at 01:30. The club will not allow customers to buy multiple drinks after 01:00. I love Bend, but I will not be returning to Stars Cabaret any time soon. My time is better spent at the downtown nightlife hunting horny hipster girls.
