Busy Friday, frustrating for me

I live close to the Gold Club, used to work very close to the Gold Club and I stop by at least once per week during the day and have for years. Sometimes I stay less than 5 minutes and spend 0, sometimes I stay for 30 - 45 minutes. I rarely make a day of it.

Daytime clubbing in Charlotte is not terrific. However, I have found that it improves significantly if you arrive after 3 pm versus arriving at between 12 and 2. Not much happening at all in the Queen City in the early hours.

Gold Club is located next the a light rail station in an industrial but safe area of Charlotte. It is very convenient to major highways and a number of hotels. The building is a low brick building that looks decent. The parking lot, well it really sucks. It has sucked for many years, not sure why they don't fix it. I do see them try to fix a few of the worst potholes by hand, but it just does not last long. Parking is free and every once in a while I have seen some streetwalkers in the lot to pick up patrons that have not gotten total relief.

Inside the Gold Club is okay. You enter to a booth where you pay the cover (no cover before 7) and then walk into the club. The bar is L-shaped to the back, the main stage is to the right, and most of the remainder of the club is seating. (There is another stage to the back and to the right of the bar that is never used during the day and there is also a small side stage that you walk right by on entrance. Sometimes, dancers will use this stage during the day to get the attention of guys as they enter.)

The bathroom sucks, just like the parking lot. It was redone a few years ago, but one of the two urinals leaks, it always did, and the bathroom smells like piss. I have never used the shitter, not sure what is in there.
