Slow night at Bucks
Nothing much has changed with the club itself since my last visit; it's a clean, well-run club with a friendly and professional staff. This visit, however, the place was dead. I mean EMPTY. I got in there about 8pm, and there were maybe a handful of other customers sitting around looking rather bored. Things started to pick up a little bit as the night went on, but it never got as crowded as usual. There were actually a decent number of entertainers working, but many of them also looked like they didn't really want to be there. Stage dancing was unimpressive; several of the girls didn't even bother to take off their tops, it was more just holding onto the pole and walking around in circles. When not on stage, most of the entertainers were either hiding in back or clinging to a regular. Usually the girls here will come over and sit and have a conversation, but the only interaction I got this time was an unenthusiastic "wanna dance?" from a couple girls. I was about to get up and leave after nursing 2 beers for awhile (FYI they do a $2 beer special on Wednesday nights), when finally a cute blonde came and sat down. She was very pleasant to talk to, and wasn't overly pushy for a dance. I did end up getting one dance with her, and while I was really into her look and personality when we were talking, the dance itself was very mechanical and didn't really do anything for me. She also did bring up the option of VIP, which I wasn't going to do anyway, but the price she quoted seemed high to me for the area. From my understanding, the club charges a nominal entrance fee for the VIP area, and then each entertainer decides on their own price for their time either by the song or by the half-hour/hour. She did not go into any detail on what was or wasn't on the menu once we got to VIP (some dancers here are very forward about promising certain things that can happen back there, but full disclosure, I've never gone back so can't speak to the validity of those promises).
Anyway, once I finished the one dance and paid her, I decided to cut my losses and call it a night.
Total spent: $53.00 ($12 cover, $16 drinks and waitress tips, $25 lap dance w/ tip).
