Visited: Sunday Evening

I visited 4 clubs during a visit to Providence on Saturday and Sunday July 20, 21, 2019. The 4th visit was to Cadillac Lounge on Sunday evening from about 8:30 to 10 pm. The club is easy to find. It’s next to the railroad tracks. A fact of no practical importance is that if you are sitting on the left side of an Amtrak northbound train you will see club Fantasies just a bit before the train gets to Providence station and Cadillac Lounge a bit after it leaves the station. There is plenty of free parking, not very crowded this Sunday night. It’s a rectangular building with the long side along the street and the entrance part way along the long side on the side away from the street. Entering you are in a long hall with a metal detector. It alarmed when I walked through but nobody paid any attention to it, or perhaps someone just glanced at me and saw nothing threatening. Then there was a desk with a gal collecting a cover, which was only $5 on this slow night. Just before entering the club proper there was a big sign on the wall saying something like “solicitation of dancers for sexual activities prohibited”.

Entering the room to the right is a flight of stairs leading up. Along the far wall is the bar. In the center of the room to the left is the main stage, which is pretty large and a “dogbone” shape and fairly high off the ground. It is surrounded by chairs at the rail and tables and chairs farther back. To the left along the short wall are booths marked VIP. In the front left corner a sign pointed to “Champagne room”. There is one restroom near this corner and others up the first flight of stairs. At the far right corner was a door leading to an outside bar space, which was open but I didn’t go out there. Sign said two drink minimum. There were quite a few waitresses circulating. I had a generic bottled water for $4. I didn’t see any food service except for a vending machine with candy bars and snacks etc. The decor was fairly fancy, with a bunch of Cadillac stuff including a car front and bumper hanging from one wall. The space above the stage was 2 stories high, kind of reminiscent of the inside of a barn. Strangely the poles only went up a short distance from the stage and were not anchored at the top, merely ending in a ball shape so they looked like an ordinary flagpole. They seemed somewhat wobbly as a result.

Up the stairs at the end of the room was the Eldorado room, supposed to feature nude dancing. This night the Eldorado room was being used for a private party. However they said that it was normally not open on Sundays anyway. There were about 15 dancers although it was somewhat hard to count since some of them kept going in and out of the private party in the Eldorado room. They were mostly 20’s, in reasonable shape, few tats. They were a mix of ethnicities, white, AA and Latina. They did 3 song sets on the stage usually getting topless in the second song. There was one dancer who got completely nude on the main stage. The first dancer to suggest a lap dance quoted prices of $30 topless, $40 nude. From reading other reviews here this was higher than normal and I passed. The dancer I did go with said $25/$35. The lap dance area is up two flights of stairs, and rather than “wanna dance” one may get asked “wanna go upstairs”. The lap dance area is a long row of cubicles with full height dividers on the sides but open on the ends so visible to anyone walking by, although there were no bouncers walking around. Their was a cashier’s station at the entrance to the lap dance area but no fees were being collected upon entry.
