Old Reliable Desire

I was in Providence Saturday and Sunday July 20 and 21, 2019 and visited 4 of the clubs there. This review is of the first of the 4, Desire which I visited on Saturday afternoon from about 3 to 4:30. I had been to Desire once before, on a Sunday afternoon a bit more than a year previous. This visit was very consistent with the earlier one.

The medium sized parking lot was about 80% full, although inside the club did not seem quite that crowded. It’s a squarish old brick building in an old industrial area and virtually underneath the intersection of I-95 and I-195. Entering at one corner one goes down a hallway past an entrance desk, no one collecting a cover at this time. Also on the hallway is an elevator up to the second floor which has their membership club “Lust”. Turning right into the club the bars are to the right and the stage to the left. Immediately to the left are the restrooms and tIhe 15 minute or more private rooms. The overall space is not all that large. There are two square bars, be careful to not trip as the floor around the bars is a step up from the area around the stage. At the far right corner are the single dance lap cubicles and a door leading to the outside “Tiki bar” and smoking area. The tiki bar itself wasn’t open at this time. A sign advertised a lunch special, not sure what it was, although several customers at the bars were eating. A bar maid came around and took my drink order, just water, Fiji brand for $5. She asked if I had a drink card, which I believe gets you $25 in drinks for $20. There were perhaps 20 to 30 customers.

The one pole main stage is to the left with tables and chairs around it. A side stage to the right of the main stage was not in use.
