Drove through the remnants of the hurricane to make it for the summer party / bbq, which was great value for the customers, but a weird evening overall.
OWG has covered extensively all of the dancers, and the layout is unchanged.
For the summer party, they opened up a pretty impressive buffet in the back patio (i.e. Tiki lounge, I think?), with shrimp cocktail, roasted pork loin, potatoes, scallops in bacon, chicken, vegetables and grilled filet mignon. It was all you can eat, and complimentary with the normal admission.
The girls were all told they had to wear gowns, which given the weather made everyone really hot and sweaty, and because the girl-to-guy ratio was very high, a lot of the dancers were not in a great mood, in terms of not making very much money for the evening, though they all had to attend.
I enjoyed the food and had a couple of dances, but otherwise just took the opportunity to chat with some dancers that I hadn't seen in a while, including actually having a proper conversation with the gorgeous and elusive Parker (see OWG's description), who is usually otherwise unavailable.
Overall, I had a great evening, but the mood was a bit strange on account of the weather. But it's one of the best parties around, at Desire, in addition to the Christmas party in December!
