Mardi Gras 2 is the closest strip joint to my home, so I visit about twice a month. It's more frustrating than fun, in general.
Pros
If you connect with the right dancer, lap dances can be very fun and quite affordable.
Cons
The bartenders are unable to keep up anytime there is a crowd.
The bouncers have an odd attitude about the area directly in front of the door, which leads to the mens room. It's sort of blocked off by a rope, but having sat and watched many times, the shortest path between two points is a direct line. The head bouncer had a "pet peave" about guys taking that shortcut, and eventually it will lead to an unnecessary altercation between patron and staff (if that hasn't happened already).
The shot girl is great looking, but one of the biggest sharks I've ever witnessed work a crowd in forty years of hanging out in strip joints. She gives Tijuana meseros a run for their money in her antics.
The majority of (but not all) dancers provide a below par lapdance.
The dancers have a tendency to latch onto regulars and ignore other patrons.
Daytime is better than nighttime. Being a familiar face is better than not. But, overall, this is a weak strip joint. I wish there was something better closer to home for me.
