I’ll check back during the next recession
By now, you have seen reviews of the facility - if you haven’t seen the reviews - it’s nothing special. In fact it’s kind of a dive - a wall dive. There is a bar on the right side of the room, a single stage, over crowded tables in the center of the club, a small VIP section on the left side of the club, and a wall where they charge you an extra $5 a dance for the opportunity to avoid being pushed around on chairs that inexplicably have wheels.
But the facilities themself aren’t what made Hiliter a Phoenix institution for decades. Nor are the overpriced drinks. (though the food served in the club is actually edible). There are two things that made the Hiliter what it was:
