July Saturday Afternoon
July in Arizona sucks balls, it's too hot to do much outdoors so as the PL that I am, I tend to end up in the cool air conditioned confines of our local strip clubs quite often. In my quest for some variety, I ended up at Bandaids on a recent Saturday afternoon.
I arrived around 3:30. The parking lot is a bit awkward but I had no problem finding a spot. It's in a bit of a sketchy part of central Phoenix, so take note of your surroundings when you arrive. No cover charge at that time of day, but they did scan my ID, I wasn't too crazy about that but it wasn't a dealbreaker. No pat down or wand though.
There were several spots open at the front bar, so grabbed one and payed $3 for a bottle of Bud Light and took in the girls dancing on the small stage by that bar for a bit. That bored me quickly so entered into main dance floor area. It seemed smaller than I had remembered and there weren't too many spots open, but I did manage to find an open chair. The crowd was mostly black and latino, with a couple of old white dudes also in the mix, pretty blue collar for the most part.
