First visit to Subi's

I'd read that those who like the Criket also like Subi's, so I thought I would give it a chance. I like smoke-free, low key atmospheres, and Subi's delivered on that front. It is just adjacent to a neighborhood, so I parked on a side street to avoid the valet charge. Walking in, it isn't too dark. Bar is on the left, three stages/poles are in the middle of the room, with seating all around, free booths on the right, DJ and bathrooms in the back. Semi-private dance area is immediately to the right behind a wall upon entering, while VIP rooms are behind the DJ (it seemed - I didn't go back there this trip).

It was really slow when I arrived at 1 pm. Only a couple other patrons, and maybe 3-4 dancers. Very pretty (average quality was higher than Criket recently), but none were able to sit and chat very long, because they had to keep going back up to the stage. My initial experience was that the dancers prefer to sit with regulars, but if they don't have one in the building, they might come sit with you if you tip them. By the time I left, a couple more dancers and patrons had come in, but it still seemed on the slow side, at least compared to Criket.

I terms of value, there was no cover, but mandatory drink was $7 plus tip for me. One mixed, very attractive (7-8) dancer arrived after I did, I tipped her on stage, and she came by and we chatted. I bought her a drink. I was interested in taking her back for $20 dancers (to semi-private area), but after she went back up for her routine, she didn't come back to sit with me (found someone else), so I headed out shortly thereafter. No one mentioned any extras today, maybe because I was a new face. There was a free buffet (pizza and chicken strips) after 2 pm, which was not glamorous but a nice touch.
