Monday afternoon at the Parrot

I usually don't go to Red Parrot during the day but last Monday I saw like 15 cars in the parking lot and I decided to give it a try. Since it was early afternoon there wasn't anyone at the door. Apparently, there is nobody at the door when you go before 4pm and you have to pay the bartender for your cover. She is on the older side and keeps correcting herself when telling you how much you owe. Cover charge was 5.00 which is pretty reasonable. They used to have drink specials during the day but not anymore, the cheapest beer is $5.25. There were hardly any customers.

There were about 6 or 7 girls. Some of the girls seemed to be in a bad mood and not very friendly. The songs played are super short and seem to be cut off exactly at 3 minutes and not a second more which I've never encountered before. One funny thing is that you can understand exactly what the DJ is saying unlike other clubs in El Paso.

I tried talking to some of the girls but a lot of them didn't speak English or they would just ask if you wanted a dance and that was it. I got some dances from a girl named Ally since she actually took the time to chat a little bit. She is average looking and a nice body. Since the dances upstairs are $20 for a wristband plus $20 per dance I decided to try her out downstairs for $10.00 a dance.
