May visit again during next trip to Austin but more research needed on pricing and recommended dancers

This summarizes my visit on a Saturday and Tuesday evening in late June. I hadn't traveled to Austin in over 10 years and this was my first visit to XTC. I read prior reviews on this site and had a good idea what to expect. The cover charge was around $25 as I expected since it was BYOB. The inside wasn't anything special and half the club was closed off when I arrived around 7pm. That eventually opened up later in the evening with all stages in operation. I only noticed 10-20 dancers when I arrived and maybe another 10 or so before I left around 11pm. I got some dances on the floor early in the evening and paid $10 per dance, but later in the evening I got some dances from a dancer that had been walking around with a butt plug and she said $20 per dance. I was surprised and ended up speaking to a manager who said I must have been with a day shift dancer earlier or someone who wasn't charging the right amount. I guess it was my fault for not confirming the rate ahead of time but I found this annoying. I really wasn't impressed with the quality of the dancers so I never paid for VIP this night.

I had a similar issue on Tuesday night when I thought the rate was $10 on the floor but had another dancer say $20 each after 3 songs. What made it worse was I had already paid for the VIP band so I could have enjoyed them more there. Later in the evening I went to VIP with a dancer that was in great shape and the dances were OK but the upsell for the curtained off area began right away. I wasn't interested based on her rates and not having good intel on possible extras.

In summary, this may be a decent club on some nights and cool to hang out with friends drinking your own beer, but I was traveling alone and this place wasn't all that comfortable to me. The dancer quality was average, but most girls that approached didn't mind when I politely declined a dance. The dance quality on the floor was also average but the pricing was confusing to me as a first timer. The few dances I had in VIP were better and I'm guessing could be very good with the right girl. Luckily I'll be back in South Florida soon since I'm spoiled by the quality of the dancers and lap dances on the floor and VIP.
