3 day trips to the Red Raven

With the changes at the Playhouse and the hit and miss nature of the Ballpark I decided to try add a few different clubs to my rotation. This review sums up 3 different visits to the Red Raven over the past month or so. Prior to that, I had only been to RR once and it was years ago, and I had been drinking and it was near closing time, so I didn't have much of an impression.

The club itself is located somewhat strangely behind a takeout beer store. No cover, no security, at least during the day/early evening. It has two stages in the center of a rectangular bar, surrounded by fixed/immoveable/uncomfortable bar stools. Plenty of ashtrays, indicate you will be surrounded by smokers and it is pretty smoky (maybe not as bad as ballpark). The spacious bathroom features an unlockable door, a perpetually clogged throne and years of dirt and grime that make me wish the lights didnt work quite so well.

Like most clubs, once the dancers complete their two song set, they go around the inside of the bar to collect tips. At this point if you are interested in getting dances, you need to let the dancer know, because they will usually not be circulating around the bar to solicit dances and/or additional tips. (Depending on the talent this could be a plus or a minus!)
