Terrible visit to Mardi Gras

I've been going to the Mardi Gras off and on for years, but haven't been for a couple of years. This visit was around 5:00 on a Wednesday evening as I was traveling home from attending a trade show. In the past it was a sure bet to have several beautiful, friendly girls working. I don't know if it's really gotten this bad or I just hit it at a bad time, but this trip was horrible. There were only about 5 people sitting at the stage, which should have been my first clue, and only one girl dancing when I got there. I sat down right in front of a sign informing me that lap dances were a minimum of $2 each. If the dance is good I usually tip at least $2. As soon as I sat down I was approached by a really ugly girl if I wanted a dance. I mean this girl was a 2 out of 10. I reluctantly said OK. She hoisted her 170 pound frame onto the stage and kind of flailed around fully clothed for about 45 seconds and that was it. I gave her $1, which was more than it was worth. I started wondering if she actually worked there or was some heifer off the streets trying to get money for drugs or her next meal. One girl who was semi-decent looking had parked herself in front of another customer and seemed in no hurry to move, despite my money sitting there on the stage. Another girl finally came on the stage and went straight over to dance for a couple who had just come in. When she was finished I was able to make eye contact and she came over. This girl was decent looking and had an OK body. I talked to her for a few minutes and then she gave me a half-interested dance, still wearing her g-string (so much for this being a nude club), I didn't see any indication that any more girls were coming to the stage so decided to cut my losses (at about $10, including drink) and head home. This was by far the worst visit I've ever had at Mardi Gras. There were hardly any girls, the ones that were there weren't that good looking, and the dances were terrible. Maybe this was because it was Wednesday at 5:00, but I'm going to have to think long and hard before I make another visit.
