Happy Fourth of July!

A group of friends and I went to Follies as none of us had been there before. Apparently, they have paid parking across the street, but no one was over there, so we parked at the auto shop next door for $10. We were checked out by a guard then paid the cover charge of $20. The staff were helpful enough but the lighting is pretty dark. This may be expected in this type of venue but we couldn't see much outside of 5 feet. Wasn't totally clean but not a total dump either, but the DJ kept things at a good pace with upbeat songs.

The dancers were pretty diverse. Looked like anywhere from 5 feet to 6 feet, slim to more round, short to long hair, younger to more older, Hispanic, African American, Caucasian. There were a lot of dancers and a good number of customers as this was close to a holiday weekend. My friends were there mostly for the atmosphere and had a good time just chatting with each other, so while a couple dancers came over and we chatted with them, we didn't do much else. Some of them do dance well though.

Dances are $10, and Long Islands are $8 to $10 but each Long Island definitely packed a punch, and I would return with friends if nothing better to do.
