I stopped into GGR at about 6pm on a recent Sunday. I knew that this was not a great time to be visiting, but this was when I was passing through the area and I only had about an hour to spare. Paid my $10 cover and went in. There were about 5-7 customers, mostly guys over 50. Bought an $8 Diet Coke and took a seat at the inside rail.
There were maybe 5 dancers working at this time. Quality of the dancers was poor. They were older and heavier than I was used to seeing at this spot. Since it was so slow, there was only one dancer on stage at a time. They weren’t really circulating but rather hanging out on stage near their regulars. When a dancer finally came near me, she was not attractive and I kind of wished she hadn’t come over. Stayed for 3 stage dances, checked out the dancers who hadn’t yet stage-danced, and figured out that there wasn’t anyone here to my liking. I cut my losses and left - spent about 30 minutes total at the club.
While I didn’t have a great experience at GGR this time, based on prior visits I’ll still return; I’ll just make sure to do it at a more prime time.
