Unusually good, for the usual experience.

It has been a long time since I last walked into the Doll House. I just haven't been through Jacksonville as much. I really didn't expect much from this trip. I was early, arriving before 1pm, and it was a hot sticky Monday - outside. I wasn't surprised to see, initially, that my tiny expectations were optimistic!

At first, (after my eyes adjusted to the very dim interior) I could see only 2 dancers. One, sitting at the bar, was a very heavy woman. The other was sitting next to the only other customer in front of the glass separating VIP from the main room. She looked familiar, but she was also focused on her customer. The woman tending the juice bar came over to me and said, "No cover since it is early" but she did take my money for a soda ($5). The DJ was unusually quiet and no one was on stage.

After a couple of minutes (time for my Coke to arrive), two more dancers came out of the back, talked to the DJ and walked around the room. I am guessing that they were deciding who would hit on the old guy that just came in (me). A lean dark haired, lightly tatted, dancer finally won (or lost?) the decision and came over to ask if I wanted company. After a positive response, she sat next to me and started a rather normal stripper/customer conversation. I actually found her to be entertaining, and even up close she wasn't bad looking.
