Old School Strip Joint

Made my first visit to Sunset Strip. I’ve driven by several times, but have never stopped in. The building looks a little rundown from the outside, it is right next to a motel that looks even more rundown. The 2 businesses share the driveway. Parking was abundant and fairly well lit. I’ve seen the parking lot packed before, but on this night, it was fairly empty.

On the night I was there they were charging a cover, I think it was $3 or $4. The club was maybe 30-40% full at about 10PM, it did get a little busier as the night went on, but never was what I would call busy. The layout of the club is very open there are video poker machines right at the entrance, a big stage in the center, smaller stage in the back, bar down one side of the club, and the LD area is behind the video poker and within clear view of the DJ booth. While I was there, he didn’t seem to be paying much attention to anything going on in the LD area. The LD are is a small rood with 6 chairs divided by small tables I believe. Drinks were average priced for a SC in Portland, domestic beers under $5 and my mixed drink was $8 I believe.

While I was there I saw about 10-12 girls working, all good looking 6-8 range. All different shapes and sizes. I think all where white except for one AA girl. The bartender was at least as good looking as most of the dancers. I noticed while they were on the big stage most put some effort in to their stage shows, but on the back stage they just went though the motions for the most part.

I hung out at the bar for a while to get the feel for the club. I had a couple girls approach me while I was at the bar. The first was a little older than most of the other girls, she was only looking for dances and was hustling very aggressively, even did a little playful grinding trying to convince me to go with her. The second sat down and we started talking I offered a drink, but she declined. She was younger and didn’t seem to be in to the party aspect of being at the club, it was more a business to her. I eventually made my way to the main stage and sat through at least half the girls, all put on a good show. I ended up getting dances from a petit blonde. She allowed two way touching, just not the kitty. Average mileage, nothing to write home about. That seemed to be the norm from what I observed while getting the dances. Prices were 3/$100 of $40 per song. This did vary some, one girl told me $25 for topless and another said $50 for 1 or 3/$120.

Overall, I liked the club. I would say it has a 90’s SC vibe to it. Lots of rock music not much hip hop and it was very upbeat even though it wasn’t very busy. I will be back.
