Heads up--La Pearl not open on 6/21, owner on vacation

Went to Outer Space / La Pearl Friday after work. Both clubs share one physical location, which is on the corner of 54th and Pearl St, one very small block south of 54th and Haverford. Pearl is a one way street which goes for about 6 rowhouses and then turns left and ends at Vine Street. Only on street parking available, but I’ve never had an issue finding a spot within sight of the front door. That way, external security, which there is, can keep an eye on things. This time, I was able to park on Pearl street right in front of the club. There's an ATM on the corner that is good to use because it dispenses $10 bills, which come in handy since there’s a $10 cover charge that covers both clubs, one is upstairs (Outer Space), one is downstairs (La Pearl) Upstairs (Outer Space) was open and PACKED. Downstairs (La Pearl) was closed. When I asked why, I was told that “the owner is on vacation”, whatever that means. Looking back at prior reviews, I see that this sometimes happens. When it’s open, La Pearl looks like a neighborhood bar. Long bar area to the left of the entrance, maybe 10-12 stools along it. There’s not a lot of space between the stools at the bar, and the external wall behind you. The space also narrows as you move away from the door, so that by the end of the bar, in the famous “left seat”, no one can see you, and the dancer can touch the exterior all when she is bent over with her ass in your lap. As long as you like WOC and aren't scared off by the neighborhood, La Pearl/Outerspace is an amazing deal. $5 full song dances barside, with long constant grinding, plenty of stick shifting OTP and ITP, and generally full roaming access, ass, titties, external kitty—(usually). No private rooms are available at La Pearl, but if your not shy, a lot can be accomplished at the seat at the far left of the bar…..

However, yesterday (6/21) La Pearl was closed So I spent my time and $$ upstairs at Outer Space, which I don’t like as much as the downstairs (La Pearl). IMO, when either floor is closed, the crowding gets bad, but on the upside, no one can see ( and won’t care) where hands wind up, and you can visually enjoy, or talk to ( which seems odd) the dancer grinding on the guy next to you on the long wooden bench.

I’ll give a more detailed review of my time at Outer Space in its listing, but wanted to let the community that downstairs was closed on 6/21, and I don’t know when owner will be back.
