Don’t Go on a Weeknight (If At All)

In town for a few days and decided to visit Dollhouse based on the reviews, after lots of comparing. I knew going in that Ohio clubs generally have no extras and are not user friendly in the mold of Detroit or south Chicago clubs. But Dollhouse was simply dead on a weeknight at 11 pm. There were 5 dancers. Three were completely overweight and not remotely sexy/sexual. They were “dancing” (and I use this word in the loosest terms; more like hippos relaxing) on the bar; while poles remained empty. The other two, much thinner on a purely relative basis, were outside smoking cigarettes the whole time I was at the club. I bought one of the overweight dancers a drink out of sympathy. Then I left. With cover and two drinks, it was like $30. I wish I had that $30 back. The dancer I talked to said the club was much busier on weekends. But I have not verified.
