Downstairs (La Pearl) closed today 6/21 - Review of La Pearl Lounge • 328 N 54th St Philadelphia, PA 19139

Went to Outer Space / La Pearl Friday after work. Upstairs (Outer Space) was open and PACKED. Downstairs was closed. When I asked why, I was told that “the owner is on vacation”, whatever that means. So I spent my time and $$ upstairs, which I don’t like as much as the downstairs IMO, when either floor is closed, the crowding gets bad, but on the upside, no one can see ( and won’t care) where hands wind up, and you can visually enjoy, or talk to ( which seems odd) the dancer grinding on the guy next to you on the long wooden bench. I’ll give a more detailed review of my time at Outer Space today in its listing, but wanted to let the community that downstairs is closed today, and I don’t know when owner will be back.
