Cheeks Is Cheap Entertainment and You Get What You Pay for
I have been going to Dayton off and on for 30 years and visiting strip clubs on many of those visits. During that time the strip club scene has significantly changed, and not for the better. Between stricter zoning and stricter “morals” laws, the strip club scene in Dayton is pretty bland these days, at least compared to some other parts of the country.
I visited in mid-May, prior to the tornado. It is my understanding that two clubs were severely impacted by the tornado; The Living Room and The Event Center which reduces one’s Dayton options even more. Both are closed; it appears that The Living Room is pretty much totaled and given the nature of their business model the last time I was there, I doubt they will reopen. The Event Center was the old Plush (? I think, memory is uncertain) and had extensive damage to the roof. I think they are still closed for repairs, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t reopen either. I think I recognized the Event Center club parking lot on TV news being used to distribute emergency supplies like water and food immediately after the tornado. It is always nice when the industry can support the local community instead of fighting with it.
I chose Cheeks to go to this trip as, after reading reviews here and talking to friends in the Dayton area. It seemed to be the least-worst of the available options.
