Jimmy’s satisfies

Once in a blue moon, I drive over from Huntsville and see if Jimmy’s is still there. As the sprawl of Madison and Athens gets ever closer, I expect that the Jimmy’s site may one day be a Chipotle or Jiffy Lube. But I digress.

I’d visited a few other area clubs that night without much satisfaction, so I found myself at Jimmy’s sometime after 10:30. The inside looked much as it always has, though there was a couch or two on the far side near the restrooms. I think those are relatively new. There’s one main stage in the middle, lots of bar tables and fairly uncomfortable chairs, and a fairly large bar. There are some pool tables between the bar and restrooms. The private dance areas are to the left of the entrance. Unfortunately, they’ve just never been that private.

That night, there might have been 10 girls working, but many circulated to the stage and quickly back to the dressing room. There was rarely more than five girls out and about at the same time, and they were either at the bar or a table, attached to probably what was some regular. I watched several girls dance and tipped appropriately. Girls would that me and hustle along somewhere else. That was OK, since none were especially great anyway. As I was finishing a beer and contemplating leaving, I met a long-legged brunette having a name that ended in -Chelle. Whether it was Michelle, Rochelle, or Lachelle, I can’t recall.
