Dive Bar in the Afternoon
This is a review from last month. T & A does not get many reviews, and most are not positive. I understand the negative reviews, but I like experiencing different clubs, and each one has some good points. I tried this one on a Tuesday afternoon about 3:00. It is a dive bar and strip club, which is not really a negative for me, since I dislike Vegas style clubs like BSC in Phoenix. Different people have different tastes, so I do not criticize the clubs I do not go to. I also like like ethnic women. I am an old white guy and dress nice. I have never had any problems in ethnic clubs.
No cover. Security pat down. Did not scan license. The entrance is into a long bar area with the strip club in another room. The room is not large and has a small stage with a pole. There were about 6 customers, 6 dancers, mostly black and Hispanic, and what surprised me, about 6 security guys. I was first put off by the security presence, but they were extremely polite and helpful. I guess this not a very good area of Phoenix at night and the security may be needed.
Dances on the main floor are $5. A Bud Light was $4, and they were selling $3 Coronas that day. The dancers were nothing special. A couple of dancers were overweight and should not take their clothes off in public. But a few were definitely worth a try at $5. My first dance was with a black girl who told me it was her first day, and first dance. She tried, but clearly did not know what to do. I found out there is a $10 dance area roped off with a security guy standing guard. I took a fairly attractive black girl there for a few dances. It was weird with the security guard standing with his back to us, but he never turned around and gave us privacy. They were very high mileage $10 dances, especially in the open area.
