OK Time

I recently decided to make a visit to Babes one early evening after leaving The Office (aka Foxy Lady). The club is located in a small shopping center in the less desirable side of Fulton County off of Fulton Industrial which itself is off of I-20. They are, however, starting to make some slow changes to the immediate area as this side of town is a hotbed for prostitution due to the numerous motels and adult-oriented businessed concentrated in this area. The parking lot is still awful as always. I always say that Babes and The Office would battle each other for Worst Strip Club Parking Lot in Atlanta.

I arrived just after 6:00 where there was no cover charge. Parking was free during that time as well. I received a very thorough pat down and made my way through the entrance corridor. I haven’t been to this club in several months. One thing that I have noticed is that there are far fewer high chairs now. The only high chairs that I saw were next to the DJ booth on the left, on the right center side of the club in front of the big screen TV with two high-top tables, and the bar. There used to be three or four high chairs near the hookah area but those have been replaced with low chairs. Another notable change is that the VIP has curtains now and is somewhat private as it used to be wide open. I still prefer the old VIP setup where it was off to the cut and a bit more secluded but at least it is an improvement as the dancers were having a very hard time making money beforehand since the new VIP renovations.

Music is primarily trap-type music with a handful of R&B joints sprinkled in. I kind of like the music at Babes because they play a lot of up and coming artists as well instead of just the popular mainstream stuff (or at least they used to). The DJ on this particular evening was not very obnoxious compared to many prior visits at this club. However, song shortening is still very common at this club as the DJ’s often only play one verse of a song before transitioning to the next. From my experiences, a few dancers, though NOT ALL, are cool enough to understand that songs are often shortened and thus don’t typically charge the full $5 lap dance for such short songs. Otherwise, you may actually gain better value at $10/dance club like Follies that does play the songs out fully with the more-often-than-not guaranteed mileage that comes with it.
