What a difference a month makes! Suddenly, Omar's is enforcing a strict no-touch policy. The way they're doing it is really obnoxious. If you get a lapdance, bouncers buzz around, stare down you and the girl and even interrupt your dance to tell you to "watch your hands" when you aren't doing anything. This goes beyond what would be called for by any law enforcement crackdown. The club seems to be trying to discourage customers from buying $10 dances and to drive them upstairs for the $25 VIP dances, from which they take a hefty $6 cut for every dance. Instead, it's driving customers out the door, with many of the best dancers following.

If you're stuck in Lansing and all you're interested in is $25 dances that can be good, but no better than $10 would get you here until recently, you might still find something to like at Omar's. Unfortunately, you're no longer able to try the girl out downstairs first, so it's a $25 crapshoot. Personally, I'd rather spend my money at a club that doesn't treat their customers like chumps.
