Not Bad as a Warm-Up
I visited Sparky's on Friday, May 31 from 1:30-2:30 pm. Plenty of free parking. As ime mentioned in a recent review, you have to fill out a membership card, have your ID copied, and pay a $2.00 fee to join. (That was a *whole* lot less than the $200.00 they wanted at Christie's in Greenboro a week ago, which I did not pay.) There was no entry fee beyond the $2.00. Bottled water was $2.75 at the bar. Music was provided via a wall-mounted jukebox, which meant that songs are played full length during lap dances.
I saw about a half dozen or so girls, split between black and white. I sat at the bar and was approached by most of them. None were stunners, but they were all friendly and I got dances from several of them. Dances are generally done in a communal room that is long and narrow, and the seating is separated by dividers, offering a modicum of privacy. One girl took me to the other side of the club to one of I think two single rooms with saloon style swinging doors, which offer a little more privacy, but not complete privacy.
I knew from reviews that dances are supposed to be $10 but some would ask $20, so when I was asked if I wanted dances, I said "Sure. $10, right?" Most of the girls said yes – some with hesitation and some without. One girl said 2 for $40, which I did, and predictably, they weren't any better than the $10 dances I got from others.
