The great exchange rate (give them $100 USD, they give you $130) is reason enough to come here. On the Thursday night I arrived, there were plenty of girls working at 12:30 AM - too many for the crowd. Lots were on their phones or chatting with each other. Maybe a 1.5 girls to guys ratio. I paid a $5 cover, but I have got in other nights for free at the back door. It's more of a tip for the doorguy (who was friendly) than cover for the club.
The pole dancers were uninspired, but so was their clientele. There are three stages at Club Wanda's, but only the main floor was going. The basement and upstairs stages were shut down due to lack of seating needed. White women, a few Black women, a few others. Solid average of 6.5.
I exchanged some cash and sat with a Molson for a few minutes until a thick Asian stripper sat with me. She didn't push hard for dances (a few others did.)
We went upstairs for $15, touch anywhere-but-the-kitty dances. She got to it - the grinding and groping was definitely worth it. There are see-through curtains and lots of traffic in the main dance area, so behavior is expected.
Be warned of a couple things:
1) A manager will come by to collect a room fee of $10 from you when you go to the private area, EACH TIME you got to the private area (so for each girl you bring, not for each dance you get.) Start your first dance AFTER he takes his toll.
2) The girls here will start dancing as soon as you hit the room, mid-song, and charge you for it. Let them know you're waiting for the manager.
3) There are OTHER private dance areas. One is $10 a song in a stall with a truly uncomfortable chair. Spend the extra five on a comfortable spot. The other area is a more couch-like area that's just as public as the main dance area, but $25 per dance. Save your money.
