I got my first LD ever...

I got my first LD ever at this place. Back in the 90's, this was the place to be in Kansas as you could get all the $5 dances you wanted. Since around 2001, bad management and increased competition sent it hurtling towards the cellar, and since that time I had not been back, instead opting to hit Club Orleans across town.

I had found out that in the last year the same owners who own CO had bought BD, so they are now sister clubs. While going on vacation I decided to give BD's another shot There is a brand new sign and a new facade on the exterior of the building, but the interior is pretty much the same as it has been in the past. Dances on the floor are $10. I'm assuming they're $20 plus the one time wristband fee upstairs, but no one on this night offered VIP so I just stuck with the floor dances. About what I expected, nothing spectacular but decent for the money.

Granted this was an improvement over what this place was like last time I was here where it seemed all the dancers were getting drunk, and not hustling the floor. Still, that disapointing aloofness that seems to permeate Topeka clubs is still here, and I can't grade the Dolls any better than a 7 until that changes. New management seems to be helping, although I still like CO better. Worth a stop though you're in the neighborhood.
