Thursday Night around Midnight
At first, I thought Lido's decided to follow the Inner Room's lead. Minutes after I arrived, the music switched from rock to urban and stayed that way for a good 20 minutes. However, it proved to be a temporary shift, returning to rock once again... but needlessly loud for both genres.
And the noise level created a dilemma. I saw a few dancers giving decent dances in the main room, presumably for $10, and on average, these dancers outranked those at the other two clubs. But the price to be paid for getting a decent, economical dance from a nice dancer was the inability to talk -- or even think -- with loudspeakers blasting away at close range. The $20 room may not be so private, but the volume is more reasonable there.
Aside from that, the vibe was nice. There seemed to be "circulation" rather than long-term bonding with regulars. Waitresses were available but not pushy. I don't know if this is the norm, but the music stopped well before 2am, more like 1:40-1:45.
