Bourbon Street Gentlemen's Club
972 U.S. 9 Parlin, NJ 08859
I traveled down to Bourbon Street one friday after midnight since I’ve always passed by this place but never checked it out. On the outside it looks like a small club with not too much going on. Since I arrived fairly close to closing the bouncer let me in without having to pay a cover charge. I am unsure as to what the cover is for this place. When I walked in the stage was to my left with a bar around it. Typical club setup, but I’ve seen bigger stages. Nobody was on stage and staff were just talking amongst themselves. One girl signaled me over and I sat down next to her. We chatted for a few minutes before she asked me to buy her a drink. I had only came in to check out the vibe of this place and had no intention on staying too long. I told her that and funny enough she was no longer interested in our conversation. The female bartender working that night overheard this and then asked me to leave because they were closing soon and if I wasn't gonna buy anything then I had no business being there. I explained to her that the bouncer let me in. Ut she was having none of it. I left shortly thereafter. This place seems like a nice spot to hangout at if you are a regular or in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. I was the only Black male in the club and the dancer variety was greatly lacking. The bartender was rude to me and I didn't feel welcome.
