Feeling Blue at the Blue

I stopped by Electric Blue in Tolland on Friday evening while passing through the area. This joint has always felt like a dive bar out in cow country. And the talent in the past has been hit or miss. But the dancers always made me feel "extra" special and the club is a convenient stop on the journey between Boston and New York. So whenever I'm in the area, which is about every month or so, I stop. However I no longer go out of my way to go here. And this visit certainly didn't change that.

The basics...

Blue is right on the north side of I-84, just off exit 68. Pull into the Subway parking lot and it is in the basement of the building on the other side of the lot under the pizza parlor and auto parts store. Cover is $10 at night, 21 and over to enter, no ID check or scanning bullshit. There's a large bar with plenty of seats that have a view of the stage. Domestic bottles of beer are $5. Bar wenches are usually attentive and the waitress is almost always the hottest girl in the place. Blue also now has several VIP seating areas for groups. However I never see these areas being used. Probably because the custie base here consists just of low class losers (local hicks, smelly Indians/Paki's, a few frat boys and some broke ass n!gg@s who drift up from Hartford). None of these are gonna pay for bottle service.
