Runway

I hadn’t been to the Runway for almost 2 years. I wasn’t impressed the first time, but I heard they had new management and the place was much better. The outside of the club isn’t trashy, but it doesn’t look very inviting either. On the inside it looks about the same as before, the biggest change I saw was the 2 stages are now connected. They also had the furniture setup a little different, but basically the same place. There were only about 5-10 customers in the club, one sitting at the stage, a couple playing pool, a few sitting on the couches, and a few guys playing video poker.

I went to the bar to grab a drink (vodka and Red Bull) and waited for about 1 full song before the bartender bothered to come out of the back. The drink seemed expensive, about $5 more than it costs at most clubs. I found out later they basically charge you for the mixed drink plus a can a red bull. When I ordered my 2nd drink I asked for it in a pint glass and was told that would be $5 more.

I found a seat at the stage and sat through a full rotation. Most of the girls were older and out of shape and didn’t have much energy on the stage. After picking up my 2nd drink I found a seat at a table and sat through a few more girls. None of the girls really talked to me or even asked for a lap dance. Possibly the lowest energy I’ve ever seen at a club.

As I was leaving there were more girls coming in for the night shift. There were a couple cuties, I wouldn’t mind going back to see, but I would avoid this place on the day shift.

Bottom line if it under new management it doesn’t seem like they have done much other than jack up the drink prices and add a cover after 8 or 9 PM on the weekends.
