Not My Favorite

I don't club much in Milwaukee much anymore, even though it is my home base. If I had to recommend a Milwaukee club to anyone, I'd probably start with OTB or Silk's original location on the northwest side. But in need of a fix the other night, I went to the third-best choice, and a distant one at that, Heart Breakers.

I will say this: Heart Breakers is still a viable option, and I found the dancer selection better than I anticipated. My understanding is it's now owned by the same folks who own the Sugar Shack down in Lake Geneva, and that might make a difference. "Cute" was never really a type you found at Heart Breakers before, but there were at least a couple "cute" girls on this trip, including one who revealed a decent body on stage that was probably more hidden than it should have been with the outfit she wore off of it. However, I think it's fair to say Heart Breakers is still a healthy step or two below OTB and Silk at their best.

Anyhow, a few club notes: There are four "sections" of the club. After you walk in and pay the $10 cover, you're in the main section. It has the main stage, which has a mirror behind it, tables in front of it, the bar on the "left," and the ATM beneath the raised DJ booth on the "right." In the back are a few steps up to a rear, more-exclusive VIP section. I've never been in there, but it looks comfortable. The VIP booths are back there as well. If, from the entrance, you walk past the ATM and under the DJ booth, you'll see a ramp that goes up to a second bar with another pole and a side-stage around the corner from the main stage. The bathrooms are back there as well. The fourth section, if you will, is up the stairs behind the main bar, and that's where the lapper booths are.
