Dancer Review
I was visiting from out of town and worked here on a Thursday and Friday. On the phone, they told me to have my ID and social. In person, I’m not too sure they even looked at my social. The audition process was to dance on one of the stages inside the bar for three songs. Basic stuff to make sure I can follow directions (top off first song, bottoms off the second)
The new girls there (when I had come in, four of us were new hires that night) were required to wear a short dress. Are they trying to class up their club?? No idea. The girls who had already worked there a while could wear their two piece outfits though, ass cheeks being shown off and all. It was a party atmosphere and the clientele skewed younger and more ethnic, so wearing a dress made me feel out of place and at a disadvantage.
I noticed that stage potential is there. I was tipped decently enough at the stages at the bars where the poles only wobbled slightly. The customers seemed to enjoy me climbing it and hanging upside down. And they took the time to tip me even though it would have been a hassle for them. I wish there was a way to facilitate it and make it easier to tip. I wish the mainstage pole was more stable too. I got the impression the clientele would have been the make-it-rain kind if the conditions were right for dancers to display better stage presence. (Tho, a couple of dancers were certainly rained on in one area of the club when they were both twerking in front of a customer off on one area of the club)
