Does the new talent signal a change in direction for PH, or just filling shifts for the time being?
Saturday night was never the A-list for special treatment at PH, but a man can only watch Shawshank on TBS so many times, so I went out in the rain to check out all the new names on the list last night.
My first observation, of all the new girls in aggregate, is that we have a lot of pole/floor skills - real dancers - which is positive, because many of our old favorites did their best work behind closed doors on the couch. And the Saturday night crowd appreciated the performances, showering them with ones... the new "thing" seems to be pulling the g-string out to reveal the kitty, and trying to catch flying ones with it. (Maybe I'm weird, but I find the act of *literally* throwing money at women far more demeaning than arranging a proper payment-for-services-rendered transaction... but I gave in to peer pressure and followed suit when the floor show was worthy of it...)
My second observation is that most of them did not do the outside loop looking for dances (or if they did, they went with the first guy they asked, because I didn't see them around at all). Cayenne and Sharon were the only ones who made it as far as my seat at the far end facing the two private rooms.
My suspicion is that girls that know they have the skills to dance anywhere, won't do any extras. Time will tell whether this is going to be the new direction of PH for the future, or if that's just how they're filling shifts to keep the place in business.
