Okay, so quick intro from me: I've been a monger for years, sneaking around the southern US, and taking advantage of any and all underground venues that cater to our monger needs. Not sure if it was our Noble Patriots Owner that woke me up, but lately I began to search for a safer and more open haven that celebrates our lifestyle, right? My search brought me to TUSCL, my new home, and the Paradise that is the Tijuana Zona Norte. So as you've all done I'm sure, I did my research, planned my first short research trip to Nirvana, and took as much of the advice that I could find here. So, research trip complete, First Timer no more, here are my published results, which I hope will help to pay this forward.

I booked a room at Las Cascadas for Saturday Night 5/4; very easy online, and no deposit. Now bear in mind this was a very BUSY weekend, since the Canelo Fight was on, and it was Cinco de Mayo, so I'm passing some tips on what to expect on this type of weekend. The first thing I want to address that's not mentioned a whole lot here is the complete lack of overnight parking, especially on a busy weekend like this. East side behind Jack in the Box was completely jammed with traffic; avoid that on the weekend! Park West was a little better, but people were literally in line at the parking lots waiting for others to leave, OUCH! Here's a really cool hack though that I ended up using: Pull up Google Maps and search for the Beyer Blvd. station on the Trolley line. About a 2-3 mile drive from the border. It has a large parking lot with open spaces. I ended up parking there overnight for FREE, and paid $2.50 to take a 5 minute trolley ride back to the border, WOW! The best part? No $25 per night! Now if Beyer Blvd parking is full, go to the next station, and the next until you find a spot. Now if anyone knows a secret lot that I couldn't find, please comment, but my parking hack worked out extemely well!

Walked across the border east side no problem. Got to the parking lot right as the monster limo pulled up from HK. Nice 5 min ride except driver was a little pissed off for whatever reason. Didn't even thank me for the $5 tip I gave him; but who cares, I got there in style! First thing: Walk into entrance and get VIP card at the desk on the left. $50 well spent and I confirmed it's good for 6 months. Checked into room, while watching 8's and 9's walking around in robes; this really got me excited about the reality of this paradise. I started with an outside walk-around and hit the only other clubs most worth your time: Chicago, Tropical, and Adelita's. Other reviews to come for those, I'll focus on HK for the rest here.
