no GPS today !
It has been a long time since I last visited this club, which once upon a time was my go-to local hangout, so I figured that it was time to see whether the turnoffs (basically a consecutive series of GPS encounters) that had driven me to explore other places were still as bothersome as they had then become.
These "issues" centered as I said on a series of experiences with that stuck-up attitude on the past of some entertainers that we affectionately and sarcastically refer to as "GPS" syndrome. And, like other locals I was also turned off by management policies - such as the insistence by management on parking in their lot and paying their parking fee when there is plenty of free parking on adjacent streets in what is really a safe neighborhood. Heck, back in the day I recall parking outside the local old-folks' home that was (probably is still there) just around the corner.
I digress. The latter issue still obtains - you are still going to get hassled if you don't park there - and I still don't know how this happens because what is to prevent you from being dropped off (by a cab, uber, or your wife) (just kidding on that last one) and then walking in ? And GPS happens at multiple other clubs in this business - luck of the draw.
