Pretty good sports bar, pleasant but not much else

I'm from the Midwest, and while LA has a great many strip clubs, the sports bars just kind of suck. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground between crummy chain restaurants like Buffalo wild wings and faux-hipster "gastropubs" with overpriced menus and not enough...
